In reaching your goals, monitor your plan and measure your performance. Keep track of your performance (and not just the numbers) to determine how your strategy is working and how you can make it better.

How often will you review each element of your Marketing Plan?

Quarterly   Semi-Annually   Annually

Questions to ask at each review:

Remember, when reviewing your plan it is important to differentiate between short-term and long-term goals and objectives.

The most obvious starting point is for you to analyze and compare your goals for the year. Did you meet, exceed, or fall short of the goals and objectives you set? Did you improve upon previous years? By how much? This will help you determine areas to focus on, areas to improve and areas to eliminate from your plan in the future.

The best method of analyzing your performance is to read through the entire plan and make notes about what you did well and not so well; what worked and what didn't work. Use the results to improve your planning and forecasting in the future.
