Prospects won't share sensitive information about their company's finances unless they trust and have confidence in you. Basically, there are two ways to ask for financial statements:
- Recommend a service you offer, such as Business Valuation, which requires information found on the company's financial statements.
- Ask! Just be sure you're in a solid position with the businessowner.
By using a consultative, problem-solving approach, obtaining the businessowner's financial statements should become a fairly routine matter.
