Why Should an Agent Become Registered to Sell Securities?
Registered Representatives get securities registered to better serve and help strengthen their client relationships. When a Registered Representative is ready to get started in the world of securities with registered products, he or she must pass the required examination(s) to obtain the proper securities registration. Often a Registered Representative may need to take more than one examination to offer certain investment products to their clients. Because Registered Representatives who have the proper registrations can offer securities, they are able to separate themselves from the competition. In addition, the demand for financial products and financial planning continues to increase, leading many Registered Representatives to obtain the proper registrations to sell securities and offer investment advisery products. Registered Representatives who become investment adviser representatives have the advantage of being able to offer comprehensive financial planning services and investment products meeting the increasing demand from their clients.
