Sharing Commissions with an Attorney (CIC Section 1724)

No agent, broker, or solicitor who is not an active member of the State Bar of California may share commissions or other compensation, including bonuses, gifts, prizes, awards, or finder's fees, with an active attorney for the sale or renewal of insurance or annuities.

Unnecessary Replacement (CIC Section 10509.8)

Agent or insurers may not recommend replacing or conserving existing policies using inaccurate presentations or comparisons of an existing contract, or recommending an insured 65 or older buy an unnecessary replacement annuity.
