Case Study

Are you ready now to work with Jacobs and Lofgren in your market? In earlier exercises, you were asked to identify businesses and businessowners that might be candidates for various retirement plan products and your services. This final Action Assignment gives you a transition opportunity to apply what you've learned from the case study to a real case.

  1. With this Action Assignment, the final in this course, you are asked to complete a copy of the Request for Proposal (Form 3202). If you've not completed the form before now, become familiar with it by completing one for the case of Jacobs and Lofgren, LLC, Attorneys-at-Law, using the information presented in this lesson.
  2. Next, meet with your General Agent/Trainer, or your Retirement Plan Wholesaler to identify a business that you can approach for a discussion of its retirement plan.
  3. Also, remember you can call your Retirement Plan Wholesaler to review how you will approach the businessowner and develop the case. The objective is to complete a Request for Proposal for the businessowner (who may or may not be a current client.)
  4. Review the completed Request for Proposal with your Retirement Plan Wholesaler. When satisfied that it is accurate and complete, submit it to Retirement Plan Services.

Welcome to the world of pensions and retirement plans!
