Getting Media Publicity

By Neal Frankie

Financial topics are of great concern to newspaper readers. Reporters need to interview financial advisers for information, insights and opinions – but they won't call you. Because the reporters don't even know you exist!

But when you know how to get their attention, you could be the first person on their list to call!

There is a protocol to have reporters notice you. It's by sending them press releases about important topics with a unique slant. Your own viewpoints and opinions are often "unique" as far as the public is concerned. And, if you inform reporters the right way, they will contact you and interview you. Just think of how your prospects react when you send them three or four articles in which you have been interviewed. They won't think of you as just another adviser – they'll respect you as the PREMIER adviser in town. Instead of prospects, you'll have clients!
