Your Market Positioning

Positioning is the image and sales story you want to convey to each and every one of your clients, prospects, "centers of influence" (COI, referral sources), and peers. This positioning will play an important role in your marketing and branding efforts, writing a positioning statement and communication strategies, as well as determining, then targeting who you want to work with.

Your market positioning statement should be well thought out, easily branded and target clients you want to work with. Most important, it should be based on your strengths as a financial adviser and communicator.

I have a URL, www.curtpatterson.com, which conjures up a multitude of marketing slogans, among them, "Architects, like good financial advisers, are professionals who create complex, yet creative plans to fit the needs of their clients. So do I."
