Sample Pre-Approach Letter

The following pre-approach letter can be sent to estate planning prospects prior to telephoning for a scheduled meeting.

Dear ________:

You spend a lifetime working to accumulate wealth. Why not make sure your family receives all it should?

There is a mistaken impression that, at death, your assets will automatically be distributed to your loved ones. Instead, several "unwanted heirs" will FIRST claim a portion of your estate. These "unwanted heirs" include the federal and state governments. They must be paid in cash before assets can be distributed to your family. How difficult would it be to convert a substantial portion of your estate to cash in just nine months?

At Ohio National, we work with our clients to minimize taxes and estate settlement costs, while creating sufficient liquidity to ensure that their estates can be passed intact to their heirs. Whether or not you have already done some estate planning, our "Estate Analysis Service" is designed to provide you with the information you need to make intelligent decisions about your financial future and the future of your loved ones.

I'll call soon to schedule a brief meeting to discuss how you might benefit from an estate analysis.

Sincerely,
