Pour Over Trusts

The pour-over trust, as its name suggests, is a trust into which assets are poured from another source. The pour-over is typically from the grantor's will, though it may also be from another trust. A pour-over trust can be either revocable or irrevocable.

Pour-over trusts can be used to consolidate the grantor's assets, thereby simplifying administration and perhaps reducing administration costs.
