Several factors affect the complexity of a will. One is the size of the estate. Larger estates tend to require more sophistication in the drafting of wills. A second factor is the nature of the property owned by the grantor. Some assets are easier to divide and distribute than others.

Another factor that affects the complexity of a will is the actual manner of planned distribution. Does the grantor plan to use trusts and distribute money over several years? If so, the will and trust document must be drafted to handle this mode of distribution.

A final factor affecting the complexity of a will is the availability of estate tax savings. Many clients want to use credit trusts or charitable contributions to save estate taxes, and this will require proper drafting of a will.
