  1. Read and review the Introduction section of the Estate Planning Adviser's Guide (Form 2450). Compare the ideas and information presented there with those presented in this course. Meet with your General Agent/Trainer to discuss and review the following topics:

    • Benefits of estate planning to the client and the agent.

    • The three basic phases of an estate.

    • The role of life insurance in the estate plan.

    • The estate planning team and the agent's role on it.
  2. Discuss with your General Agent/Trainer the other members of the estate planning team with whom you might be working. This discussion should include techniques you can use to network with local attorneys and accountants.
